This started out as leaves on a tree. Selected them them, put them on their own layer, then went to town on the pic. Clarity, Detail, Simplify, Glow, a bit of an Orton Effect, a texture effect, and angled brush strokes.

I like the simplicity. The color exemplifies autumn. It’s subtle, but I think the tint of the off-white background really adds to the image.
It’s got me interested in trying something similar.
