Face Recovery recovers unselected faces

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Step 1 load photo in photoshop

  2. Step 2. Select none from face selections to clear out all the extra faces.

  3. Step 3. select the face I want to recover

  4. Step 4. apply the face recovery for 1 face

  5. Step 5. save to photoshop.

I am using Topaz Photo AI ver. 2.0.0 on a Mac Studio with the latest mac updates.

Are you clicking on the one face you want to improve and it’s turning on the Select All or Low Quality option?

I just tested with an image on my computer and did not get the same behavior.

Yes I know how to click on the faces etc. The photos I attached above are not in order. The file names of each photo is the correct order. The faces are automatically selected. I choose to select “none” then go back and select the players face I want … only 1 face. The software shows only 1 face is selected. When I apply the recovery and the file is saved, the girl in the background also have the face recovered. I sent the file to you.

I also sent you a video screen capture of me doing the edit in photoshop and you can see what the face recovery is doing. The face is not selected and not only does it recover the face, it recovers the entire girls body.

Thanks for sending the video and the file. I tested and found that this was caused by sharpen and not face recovery.

Please remove the background person from the sharpen mask as it is sharpening her body and face which is producing a bad result.
