Face Recovery issue with hairs at face area (1.4.0 + 1.4.1)

See Screenshot. The red dotted area = recognized face.
The hair in this area is smoothed by the face recover (strength: 80)
Maybe the face recovery should be done before sharpen? Set sharpen here to max so you can better see what i mean.

The same for Removing Noise:

The entire point of face recovery is because denoise and deblur destroys eyes, nose, mouth and skin details - so running them after is just going to be worse faces. You can try it if you want by saving face recovery result with no denoise/deblur then reloading for denoise/deblur as a second pass without face recovery. What they need to do is expand face recovery into training it for hair recovery.

I’ve passed over it by setting face recovery to low values like 10…30, so the smoothing of the face/hair was not so heavy.

Sure - i can reload a “cleaned” pic and do the face regen on this one…thx for this tip!

From my experience with face recovery, is that it tends to make matters worse. I am not sure if it is because it is run after the rest of the photo or not, but it makes sense… Face recovery should be done first

When I do face recovery on someone with freckles, it tends to remove most or all of them. Which looks really weird.

Do you have examples of faces with freckles? I can share with the researcher so we can improve Face Recovery handling for this.

Up now nothing changes… when using e.g. sharpen function, the face is sharper as when you use face correction. It looks strange, when the image is super sharp but the face is blurry (compared to the whole image)

You can decrease the strength to prevent the filter from removing details.

This will get it working better for you.
