Face recovery is turning off

When I use Topaz Gigapixel v8.0.3 or earlier versions for a buch of video image sequences with a front face is talking filmed with close up, after a few pictuers processed, the face recovey simply turns of and continues processing without it. I don’t understand why it happening? Someone has the same expeience? I have Radeon RX 5500 XT GPU video card. The program recocnise it. Is it possible that the program conficts with my card, and this could cause this bug? Thank you, Géza Vas.

This has been happening to me for the last 3 or so updates. I with they would say if they even know it’s a problem and if they plan to fix it. Very frustrating.

Unfortunately that is a really old problem. I’m doing a lot of batch work and had this problem again and again. There was a small period where it worked, but one update later it didn’t worked again. Meanwhile there is a similar problem with the “model settings” option, which has to be manually activated whenever you start the software and whenever you open a new file. For my job I need do a lot of batch-work, but Gigapixel does not work reliable at all. For that reason Gigapixel has become worthless to me and because the can’t nor won’t fix that it is nothing bore but a money costing software grave. I would suggest, that you contact the support again and again and again. I will do so. When they still don’t fix it we need to find a way to motivate them. I am very angry!

I totally second that, folks. It is not only annoying, it totally sucks! Either they don’t care about that, they are not able fix that or they just won’t fix it. To me this issue runs since I bought the very first licence nearly 18 monthe ago. The issue was reportred by me and others again and again and nothing happened. More and more to me useless options, such as Gigapixel Print, Recover or Redefine - which ar just im,plemented to generate money with toys - but still the old issues!

But, folks, the issue above does only still exists, it also got company - namely the “Model Settings” option. This turns off right after any working-process and has to be manually activated again.

Using Gigapixel on a professional base is simply impossible! The result, Gigapixel produces in the very most cases is excellent, sometimes even like magic. But presently it cant’ take seriously. Unfortunately it is nothing more but a sad app for people who uye it from time to time or having fun with creating something on that AI base or whatever. I talked to collegues here and they agree to me: Fix that, Topas or take consequences and get off the adult business. Presently this software is worthless to me for issues you are not willingly to fix for years now! As a result I will contact PayPal for a pay back and never come back again! And I happily will write dowon my experiences with you in any forum etc. to avoid that other serious people step in your trap!

Gigapixel was updated totday. While the “Model Settings” issue was fixed the major issue with the “Face Recovery” is still there. That means the software is stillworthless to me, nothing more than an expensive toy. Sorry, Topaz, but that truly sucks. Shame on you folks!

Here’s a fix

Tried to access this link got this message “Oops! That page doesn’t exist or is private.”

Anyway, January 20, bug is still there, annoying !!!

could you post again your findings?

I just purchased Gigapixel and am using V 8.1.2 and confirming I’m seeing the same issue. The face recovery works great for individual photos but turns off when doing batch downloads. We really need a fix for this ASAP or at least a response from Topaz that it’s being investigated. I’m restoring a ton of old photos and being able to batch process is the entire reason I purchased Gigapixel.

Has there been any updates on this? I am currently having the same issue on 8.2.2. Defeats the point of purchasing the software. I bought it for batch processing, and face recovery does not work when I have the settings applied to all the images. Only the first image that is queued in the preview will have face recovery applied. I just wasted 12 hours batch processing upwards of 27,000 photos, only to find out face recovery didn’t work. This is extremely frustrating.
