Hi,

You are right, using an older version 8.0.2 also saving with the same 98% quality with YUV420.
For me, it’s a bad idea to make JPG files in GP and TPAI. It is best to saving image as PNG or TIFF, and only then in a program like XnView, where you have full control over the quality and YUV of the JPG file. And in addition, in XnView MP you can use the jpegli codec, which creates better quality JPG files with a smaller size than the current codecs.
I was able to replicate this initially (in v8.0.2), but after I clicked “Export Again” in the export window and then adjusted the quality slider, the export size correctly followed the quality slider position after that.
It hasn’t been “stuck” after that, even after restarting the app.
I didn’t experience this issue in the latest beta version.
Interesting. I tried to replicate the problem again and this time export worked correctly at different quality levels. I’m wondering if something triggers this behaviour.
