Export to Lightroom fails

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Open LRc
  2. Select a JPEG. I chose a 10MP image from my K200D from 2008 . I used the same original image from Help ! Sharpen Refocus turned me into a bloody reptilian! .
  3. Click “Edit in Topaz Photo AI”
  4. Play with the settings over and over . I tried Sharpen and Recover Faces. Deleted each many times. Changes from Refocus to Lens Blur v2 to Natural and so on
  5. Press the “export to Adobe LRc” button
  6. Occasionally, it will not export anything and just hang. Unfortunately, this is a somewhat random problem. I have not figured out the exact trigger. But it’s happened to me many times.

  1. Closing the window and trying to export again does not fix it. The same thing happens again.

The only workaround I found was to “save as new preset”, close Photo AI, re-export from LRc, and apply the saved preset.

Topaz Photo AI [v3.2.0] on [Windows]

Please send me your system profile information so I can check if your computer hardware is up to date.

You can securely submit your files(s) to my Dropbox using the link below.

Please be sure to send me a note here to let me know you sent something.

Can you please provide the instructions in writing ? I do not wish to watch a video.

Use the step-by-step instructions to find Windows computer specifications:

  1. Click on the Windows search bar
  2. Type in dxdiag
  3. Hit enter or click run command.

This will open a window that shows you your system specifications.

Here you can find the following important information:

  • Operating system
  • Processor
  • System memory

The information in the Display Tab is also important. Here you will find the following information:

  • Graphics card (GPU) name and model
  • Video memory (VRAM)
  • GPU driver and driver dates

The user can send this information to support by following these steps:

  1. Click Save All Information
  2. This will create a dxdiag.txt file that can be saved onto the users computer located in the Downloads Folder.
  3. Attach the dxdiag folder to the support email for review.

Thanks, John !
I just attached it to your Dropbox.
Julien

Thanks for sending in that information.

I want to see if updating your GPU driver will resolve the problem, as there is a more up-to-date driver that has been released.

Please use the following link to update your driver: NVIDIA | GeForce RTX 3060 Ti | Driver Update

After the update, let me know if you are still experiencing the problem.

Thanks. I just updated the driver. I can’t immediately reproduce the problem, but it is was not a simple one to reproduce even with the older driver. The behavior was somewhat random, and I only saw it occur a few times. It’s likely some sort of race condition. If it happens again, I’ll send a log to your Dropbox.
