It’s very annoying when the export back to apple photos locks. I have to turn everything off and on again to get access to my computer. It doesn’t always happen but it is often enough to put me off Topaz…sorry guys
Please follow the steps below:
- Close Apple Photos fully.
- Disable antivirus, firewall, VPN, or proxy that may be on your computer. These are known to block the installer from downloading the model files.
- In the MacOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Files & Folders, find Installer and enable all locations for it.
- Run the Topaz Photo AI installer. You can download a new installer from the downloads page directly. Topaz Labs | My Account | Downloads Page
Let me know if that works for you.
Dear John, thankyou for this information. Is the Firevault on my Mac the same thing as Firewall in your note?
FireVault should not interfere with the download process.
Sorry John, but the first photo I tried seemed to work after the reinstall but the second one was Unable to Save. Also, and I don’t know if this is relevant but, I cannot see Topaz in my Files & Folders (currently showing CEWE Creator and Fujifilm X Raw Studio)
Peter
Got it! My Firewall setting is in Network. I have reinstalled after turning Firewall off and it seems to be working…
Thankyou for your help and patience
Peter
I thought it was working but I have now tried two photos, both say Unable to Save. I have switched my Firewall back on…
What type of files are you working with while using Apple Photos? If it is one type of file what camera are these images being produced by?
The files are .RAF from my Fujifilm XT-5.
I am away for a few days now but will try again when I get back and let you know how it goes.
Thanks again for your help
Peter
