Hello all,
I have some 4k vertical video from a phone I’m trying to improve to be used in a ‘real video’. The first run took 2h30m and wasn’t appreciably better so I changed the models and re-rendered. The estimated render duration is now over 2 days and getting longer!
Used I second enhancement for both. The models used for each are in the screenshot
The first render had both CPU and GPU at 100%, however in task manager it appears to be using zero CPU but 100% GPU for the second render. Its also gone down from 0.1 fps to 0.0 fps…
My system in an AMD Ryzen 5700X, NVidia RTX2070, 64G RAM.
Video AI version is 6.0.3
I can’t find any reports of something similar, hence my new post.
Many thanks in advance.
EDIT: after digging in the logs myself there are loads of this error message:
It looks like your system is struggling hard with the 4k video resolution and 60 fps frame rate and applying two models to the file.
Are you able to run a test with just one model applied to the clip and then bring the file back in for a second pass?
The RTX 2070 is being pushed hard in the processing tasks that I am seeing in the logs but they are finishing without errors aside from one attempt with Rhea which pulls a lot more VRAM than what your card has available.
You can try lowering the max memory % that the app can access to see if that will help keep the usage a bit lower and provide a more stable process attempt.
File>Preferences>Processing
Ensure that your GPU is selected for the AI Processor
Set the max memory to 80%
Set max processes to 1
Save the settings and close the panel.
Re-run your clip through the process that you were trying.
