Error: Unable to write results to User/…

I receive an error message when processing just one image, which will immediately say “Error: Unable to write results to User/brettraney…” I’ve just purchased this application, and it doesn’t work. Do you have any tips for Mac users?

Application & Version: Topaz Sharpen AI Version 3.0.1
Operating System: macOS Catalina, Version 10.15.7
Processor: 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
Memory: 64 GB 2400 MHz DDR4

Raise a support request at the main website as it seems you have permission problems to that folder. They will be able to look at your PC and advise you on what to do.

The other thing is, if it is a network drive, is it attached and available?

I have exactly the same problem! No problem before the upgrade to 3.0.1. I checked the folder’s permission on my MAC and there is no problem. This is so frustrating. Topaz should fix this ASAP or allow a downgrade back to the previous version.

I have exactly the same problem too.
Also, when processing multiple images, the file numbering goes awry with subsequent images using the name of the previous file as the root, e.g. A.tiff - error, B.tiif saved image is A-motion.tiff, C.tiif is saved as B-motion.tiff etc.

Just updated and now the software is basically useless due to being unable to save any processed files. Update soon please? Or maybe a discount on next years subscription for lost time…

I uninstalled 3.0.1 and re-install with 3.0.0. No problem saving files thereafter. However, please note that 3.0.0 do have the occasional problem of not being able to save files too. However, this is easily workaround by restarting Sharpen AI. With 3.0.1, nothing can be saved at all.

Same for me on MacOS, although files do save occasionally at random.

After the recent upgrade I also had the same file problem mentioned in this thread. I did restart my iMac after the install. My iMac Pro memory: 32GB, processor: 3.2 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon W, Graphics: Radeon Pro Vega 56 8 GB, Op system: Big Sur:11.2.3 (20D91). I tried to save the file(s) in different folders on my iMac, all to no avail. It had worked ok with the previous version.

Just “upgraded” to Sharpen AI v 3.0.2 - same problem. Unable to write to User/… Everything worked in previous version (v.2.4.x). MacOS Catalina 10.15.6. Tried several restarts all to no avail. My older version of Denoise AI (2.4.2) still works fine. I won’t be upgrading that any time soon.

Same here for me with 3.02. Unable to save any images after processing on big sur

Same problem here … sucks

I’ve just upgraded to Topaz Sharpen AI 3.0.3, and it’s processing every high res .tif I throw at it. Thank you Topaz for solving the issue. Sharpen AI 3.0.3 is working perfectly!

Application & Version: Topaz Sharpen AI Version 3.0.3
Operating System: macOS Catalina, Version 10.15.7
Processor: 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
Memory: 64 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
Graphics: Radeon Pro 580 8 GB

v3.0.2 – Two years later, same issue.

(Intentionally, this is not the current version; past experience is that upgrades cannot be trusted.)

Was a fix ever discovered? I’ve submitted a ticket. Thanks.
