Error and termination near the end of large file processing

  1. Was processing a 444 MB MP4 file. Was using the “bad video” preset. Had taken about 11 hours and was down to the last minutes when the error occurred. No file saved. I did copy the in-process file towards the last hour and the copy is about 760 MB

  2. Your system profile= HP with Intel core I7, Nvidia Geforce RTX, 18 gig RAM

11 hours for nothing omg that’s hard. maybe I can help you to get it processed anyway soon if you upload the source video and tell me the preferred settings? :eyes:

I don’t mind the time, but would like to known how I can avoid this type of error.

did you have a look in topaz video ai temporary folders? the temporary file can often be watched even during processing. if it is still open in a videoplayer when the video ai finishes, the temp file will remain. it might also remain when the application crashed during export.

I actually copied the temp file (all 761 MB of it). My software has a problem playing it but I could probably convert it to a better format. But still, this is not the first time something like this has happened. I often have a crash due to some stabiliztion problem as well.

Version 4.1.0 launched today. Maybe give it a try!
