I’m scanning 35mm color negatives. The files are raw (.cr2). Processing in Affinity Photo 2 using Photo AI as a plugin. A good percentage of faces are not recognized or suggested. Often the clearest face is NOT selected automatically. Having the ability to manually select faces would be a God-send right now.
Hoping manual selection gets added…soon.
This feature would be very useful as just recently the box selected the floor and not the face on my image. We should be able to move/correct the box or ad a box.
I’ve been doing some slide copying for a friend, and in a group photo (mother and three children), the mother’s face will not select, even though it is no more blurry than the children’s faces. I tried applying strong sharpening to her face only, to see if autopilot would detect the face, but no help. It would be great to have the option of TRYING to paint in a face, it will either help or it won’t, but obviously the option is needed.
The program is not finding faces, several in my last softball pictures and closes off the face option. Understand it will not find all faces. But we need the capability to add a box when not found. NOT CLOSING OFF THE OPTION.
Is this for Topaz Video AI? I doesn’t sound like anything I recognize in it.
I think you are referring to the Photo AI app, so I moved this to that Ideas page for you.
Same here. It doesn’t find the face if there’s a single one in the image and closes the option…
