I have a Nvidea GEforce RTX 3050 card. From your latest announcements about Wonder 2.0 any ordinary computer should run this program. why will card with 6 GB vram not run this? I really like the results I have gotten from uploading the pictures but woulf like to run it on my desktop.
First variant of this card has 8 Gb VRAM. This is not an answer to your question; just a fact.
Hi.
You can run Wonder 2 Locally on your Computer if you switch your AI Processor from GPU to CPU within Preferences
While it works, using a CPU for a generative model like Wonder 2 comes with some certain caveats
Slow Processing Speed: AI models are designed for the parallel processing power of GPUs. Running Wonder 2 on a CPU will be significantly slower sometimes taking minutes per photo instead of seconds.
You will likely need at least 16GB to 24GB the more the merrier of RAM, since the CPU doesn’t have its own VRAM (Video RAM), it has to use your system’s RAM
Your CPU will likely hit 100% usage during the process, which can make your computer sluggish for other tasks and cause the fans to run at max speed.
Basically, I would stick with Cloud Rendering because it’s quicker than both using the CPU or GPU you’re almost certainly get better results and best of all it doesn’t cost you anything
Hope this helps
