Using Photoshop Elements 2026 and Windows 11. Installed Photo v1.4.1 and it works fine. Installed Gigapixel v1.1.3 and it shows up under Elements automation tools but it doesn’t show up under filters and it won’t open. Checked Elements Plug-ins and noticed that TopazGigapixelApply.8bf, TopazGigapixelAutomate.8bi, TopazGigapixelGather.8bf are listed but TopazGigapixel.8bf isn’t listed. I have deleted and reinstalled Gigapixel three time but still not working. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi.
In the Full Version of Photoshop, Topaz Gigapixel Studio or the Previous Gigapixel AI works via the File Automate Menu, Photoshop Elements does not support this specific Automate plugin architecture.
Yes Photoshop Elements has an Automation Option but, I’m afraid it’s not the quite the same
Standard Plugins in Elements usually live under the Filter Menu However, Photoshop’s Filter System does not allow a Plugin to change the Actual Dimensions (The Pixel Count) of an Image; it can only change the appearance of existing pixels. Since the entire purpose of Gigapixel is to Increase the Image Size, it cannot function as a Standard Filter.
Topaz Photo works in Photoshop Elements however, the same Upscaling Restrictions Apply but, unlike Topaz Gigapixel Topaz Photo can be used for more than, just Upscaling Images Denoising, Sharpening for Instance and more.
Hope this helps
What Andy said is correct, PSE doesn’t support Topaz Gigapixel because it cannot allow upscaling. This is not an issue. You need to use Photoshop to be able to use Topaz Gigapixel.
