Education | How to install Affinity plugin?

I went here in Affinity Photo, but I don’t know what to do next. The docs don’t actually explain how to install the plugin…they just say to check this box…

Hello,

Did you install Photo AI first? Normally Photo AI should be in the “detected plugins” list and you should be able to select it.

Where did you install Photo AI?
Can you confirm that the standalone app works normally?

If I recall (it’s been a lot of versions of TPAI and Affinity 2), I had to point to the plugins for the search folder location:

(and restart Affinity)

I installed it first, in D:\Program Files\Topaz Labs LLC\Topaz Photo AI.

I had to follow the other person’s instruction to get it to detect the plugin. You really need to update your docs.

Affinity’s plugin search is recursive, so you can just put C:\ as the path. It searches for plugins every startup though, and limiting the search to specifically where your plugins reside speeds up Affinity startup time.
