Why is the file not saved as a raw file when exporting back into LRC?
Hi,
Because only your camera can produce a “true” RAW file. But you can use the DNG format when exporting from Photo AI, provided the initial RAW file was sent to Photo AI using the File | Plug-in Extras | Process with Topaz Photo AI command. Not the Edit in | Topaz Photo AI command that will necessarily trigger a conversion of the original RAW file to TIFF | PSD | JPEG).

DNG - Use the DNG format for RAW input images. Any non-RAW files will be saved as TIFF instead. The program uses lossless compression to decrease the output file size without losing image data.
