I notice when I remove the noise from my photos with blue skies that it doesnt smooth out the noise in many of my photos. They are small bubble like spots in the sky after I use the Topaz software. Not sure what I need to do. I change the settings but doesnt seem to help. Blue sky photos are what Im having the problems smoothing out the noise.
Hi Chris.
Would it be possible to post a before and after images and the settings you’re using also the original dimensions would help
In the meantime you could try selecting the sky only there’s a Selection setting just for Sky and apply Denoise Strong
Hope this helps
Hello Chris,
What Andy suggested is a good test. Here are some extra information.
Blotchy spots can be caused by RAW noise not being threated with our RAW denoise tool. Are you shooting RAW? What is your workflow?
Yes, Im shooting RAW all the time. Here is the Topaz Im using. It doesnt show a RAW Denoise tool. Am I using a older version? Maybe I should upgrade. Is there a charge to upgrade to the version that has the RAW Denoise Tool?
This is a much older version of Topaz Photo AI possibility version One or Two also, you’re not showing the top of the Image so, we can’t the information for the file.
Basically, we need to see the whole Image including settings is it possible to post a screenshot if not then, a phone image including settings of the whole screen will have to do.
What is the most up-to-date version of Topaz AI Photo do I need?
I am updating to the latest version of Topaz AI Photo.
I have the latest Topaz Photo now and its working great. Thanks for your help.
Just to come back to the RAW workflow, it is recommended that you import the RAW file directly into Topaz Photo, not a JPEG or a TIFF copy.
Thats what I was doing wrong. I was using another photo software to change the photo from raw to jpeg before running it thru the Topaz. It seems to work very well so far. I take a lot of photos and sometimes in low light that makes lots of noise in my photos. Thanks so much!
