Opening a RAF raw file directly in the Topaz AI or in Lightroom, selecting a raw NEF file, then going to File > Plugin extras > Process with Topaz Photo Ai - the program does not recognize the RAF File as a raw image and raw Ai denoise is not an option.
The same raw RAF file is recognized by Adobe and opens in camera raw if opened directly by Photoshop.

RAW Denoise will only kick in on Bayer sensor files, to remove the aggressive RAW noise the files have on this sensor (Canon, Nikon, etc). Your camera has a X-Trans sensor which will not have this aggressive noise. RAW denoise will not kick in for this reason. You can use Denoise if you have any low-light noise!
