Hi There,
I am new here and to Topaz, so please forgive me if I am not posting this in the proper place. I am considering moving from a LightroomC/Photoshop workflow back to Bridge/Camera Raw/Photoshop workflow. I have not learned Topaz thoroughly yet, and I have read/heard conflicting ideas on whether to use PAI on Raw or TIFF files. In Lightroom I can open a Raw file in PAI through the Plug-in manager, but in Camera RAW it seems that I have to open a TIFF. So, my questions are:
1-Does it actually matter which file PAI works on…TIFF or Raw?
2-If so, is there a way to open a Raw file from Camera RAW?
Thanks so much in advance folks. So far (just a few days)…PAI is a pretty impressive and useful tool for me to have added!
We are not supporting Photo AI from Adobe Bridge. I suggest that you open the photo in Photo AI first (the unedited RAW file). You will then have the RAW Denoise function, which works better than the one in Photoshop or Lightroom Classic, in my opinion. Then, you will be able to export from Photo AI as a DNG file
Thank you John. I will try it that way. Appreciate you taking the time.
