Can you share the input m2v file that will not import for testing? The logs are showing that there is no video duration metadata for this file which is causing the issue.

Hi Margaux!

I did DROP 3 files in the BOX.
sometimes will changing the M2V into MP4 do, but not always.
What is the problem in these files?

Mv2 is only for older files, just like other like AVI and WMV. Just for these I need Topaz.
It is very good to use it for converting too, and in the meantime enhance and upscale it to 1920x1080 px.

Thanks for now and I like to hear what the problem was/ is.
Thank

Toon

Hi Toon,

Looks like Video AI can’t detect the duration when it parses the file. This is a known quirk of .m2v files—they’re elementary MPEG-2 video streams, and they often lack container-level metadata like duration or time base even though we can see the duration when we open at the file. Without that, Topaz Video AI sees it as an invalid file.

I recommend rewrapping the .m2v file into another container like .mp4 that includes duration info.

Hi Margaux
You mean change the .M2v into mp4? will this help @ duration? I do not have a different option, as far as I know.
Do you know any conversion option?

toon

Yes! I recommend using Handbrake

  1. Drag and drop your video to import it
  2. I recommend going to the “dimensions” tab and under “resolution limit” > none
  3. I also recommend going to the “video” tab and under “framerate (FPS)” > Same as source
  4. Then click “start”

This will ensure that it retains the original resolution and frame rate with the converted file.

This works fine, Margaux!

Thanks for the tip!
