Why is it when I import a 4k video, run Nyx, and then export as 1080p, it ends up being a larger file size? Original 4k file size is 1.5GB and the 1080p export is 2.2GB…
Has nothing to do with models like NYX. Bitrate is given by resolution+fps, TVAI choosen codec with settings. In the codec section you can choose between low/medium/high. TVAI use NVENC instead better x264/x265, so is quite good TVAI presets have high bitrate when doing NVENC h265/h265
If you want better compression, you can also export as nearly lossless ProRes-HQ or lossless FFV1 and do the final encode into Handbrake with your prefered settings.
