Downloading models

I was having issues with the Topaz Photo AI crashing when face recognition was running. I completely uninstalled the program, but now when I run the program via the plugin in Photoshop Elements it says “Some model files need to be redownloaded before images can be processed.” It takes at least nine minutes to run…every time!! I have really enjoyed this program, but I am not spending hours each night just trying to edit pics, but not getting anything done because I am wasting so much time troubleshooting. Please help.

Topaz Photo AI [v2.1.2] on Mac]

Yes, I was able to contact someone via help and they had me roll my account to a previous version.
Here is what they sent:

Thanks for sharing the log files. I’m passing this to my team so we can look into a solution for this. In the meanwhile, the best option would be rolling back to v2.1.0.

To roll back to v2.1.0, click here to download the installer and run it.

Let me know if that works for you.

It has worked since I went back to this version.

thank you !!! you are a life saver!!!

No problem! I hope that helped!!

I’m having the same problem since updating to Gigapixel 7. One of my favourite, quick and effect image processes has now become a time-consuming nightmare. I get ““Some model files need to be redownloaded before images can be processed” every single time I open the app by itself or within PS. so processing a number of images back to back images is now tedious. The model files seem to have to redownload for every single image and it takes forever.

I really like Gigapixel 7, it seems crazy that a rollback is all that will fix it… that just makes the new version release inaccessible.

Hey this is a Topaz Photo AI forum, you might have better assistance on the Gigapixel forum
