I was wondering if the upscale factor (e.g. 0.5x, 2.0x, 4.0x, etc.) has a bearing on the final upscaled image’s quality? Specifically, I have a few scanned images, which are quite large (they were scanned using very high DPI). When enhancing those images using Gigapixel AI, choosing 0.5X sizing factor will yield an image size closer to my needs and preferences. Since this is not "up"scaling, rather "down"scaling, would it have any negative effect on final image’s quality? Thoughts?
