Does Topaz process images locally or in the cloud?

I would like to install Topaz on my company computer, but IT is a bit skeptical. One question my guy had is whether Topaz processes images on the local machine or uploads to the cloud, processes remotely, then downloads back to local machine. Does anybody know the answer to this?
