I originally had VEAI for some years and bought PhotoAI in the bundle last year. My work is VR/360 and I have some images I need to correct from wind/unstable camera mount. When I use VEAI it doesn’t understand the LatLong format my cameras (Insta360) use and so you get a harsh stitch line - which I can correct in Da Vinci Resolve (kinda).
But is PhotoAI any different? Or has it had updates that will allow it to handle [in this case] images in a batch correctly without ruining the stitch point? These are astrophotography images so it may be a little easier than other scenes actually, as long as the key features are not sitting on the stitch area heh.
Based on the workflow you described, I suspect that Photo AI may not be the best option for this particualr instance. While Photo AI excels at enhancing image quality, it’s not specically designed to handle the unique LatLong format used by Insta360 cameras or you may see issues while handling 360-degree stitch lines. You might still experience issues with the stitch points, simliar to what you encountered with Video AI.
I would recommend checking out a trial for Photo AI that you can experiment with one of the files you are working with by accessing a trials from our Topaz Labs Downloads Page. When you first install, you can choose the demo mode. This won’t automatically charge you if the product doesn’t suit your needs- no need to log in or provide any payment information to preview the enhancements.
