When Proteus Natural was released it was not working on Macs or working very slowly via CPU. Was this issue fixed? If so, what Mac OS version is required?
Proteus Natural requires at least OS15 or newer to run locally.

My question was also if it is hardware accelerated now, since when it was released it worked only via CPU very slowly
My M3 Ultra runs Proteus Natural without problem, both on GPU or Neural Engine depending on the Mac’s low-power mode. So I assume that also applies to other M-series Macs.
However, it is still very slow at about 13% of the standard Proteus speed (at 2x).

Then it is still not optimised for Macs. On Nvidia Proteus Natural is faster than Proteus 4 and 3 (20-30 fps for a 2x SD video upscale).

So it turns out there is a new problem or the old problem has resurfaced somehow. In a nutshell, it appears that Proteus Natural doesn’t currently work on the M1 Neural Engine. I don’t know about the M2. The 10% max memory trick of forcing the processing onto the GPU cores works on my M1 Max.
