Display Improvement | Adjustable Text Size

User should be able to adjust text size in the interface / preferences. Windows 11 general adjustments have little if any effect.

Hello @joseph.gruszka,

I can confirm that this is actively being discussed with the Developers and we are looking into implementing this in the Preferences. I will reply here once this has been released.

TPAI is an important part of my workflow, but recently, I upgraded to a new PC, and I now run Windows 11 instead of 10. As I am 82 years old, the text is so small that I can no longer use this program. Being the president of our local photography club, this has been discussed with members using PAI, and a text size adjustment like in Lightroom would help many of us.
Note: I have already scaled Win 11 up to 125%

Hello, I’m the 1st one listed on this subject, and am very pleased someone else has posted this problem. I have a 4K monitor running at 3840 x 2160 resolution with the recommended (by Windows 11) text size of 150%. Topaz program text is almost unreadable. PLEASE FIX THIS AS MENTIONED IN THE JUNE 2024 Ange post above.

Side Note: Adjusting my monitor to 2048 x 1080 and up to 200% text size has little effect. I love the program, but the interface preferences need work.

Hello,

Thank you for flagging that to us! I cannot promise a timeline for this as we prioritize the ideas with the most traction and votes. We are still tracking all the ideas and discussing them regularly

It seems that you have the space in your current layout to near double to text font size., all round. For those of us aging and with weaker eyes larger text would be a godsend! I grow weary straining my eyes to read and focus on the current tiny text throughout the operational aspect of the software!
The only needed response is “great suggestion Chris… it will be fixed in the next update!!”

Have you tried adjusting your display setting? I also am ageing and I have a 2560x1440 14" display which I have set the scaling to 150% which is the usual way of adjusting to suit your needs rather than adjusting the display resolution.

This adjusts your Text font size in applications.

E.G. Set to 100%:

Now set to 150%:

I have mine set to 116% as part of my calibration routine. This sets the ASUS ROG PG348, 3440x1440 monitor up so that measurements on the screen match real world dimensions. In other words, an inch measured with a Photoshop, or Word ruler, is an inch across the screen.

I tried a scaling of 200% on my 4K 3840 x 2160 monitor, and the text within the program is acceptable, but the text/tools in other programs are way too large.

A fix by an option in “preferences” would still be much appreciated.

I am scaled to 125%, and if I go further, it becomes too big for my other programs. All other editing programs I have used do not have this issue. Love PAI, but sorry to say it is useless to me and others in our club.

I see the latest update to 3.6.0 didn’t change anything in preferences regarding ability to elarge text size without changing scaling or monitor resolution. Still waiting …

Just curious… if I keep posting every day, will that increase the likelihood of the powers that be to modify the program? I’m thinking this change would benefit everyone, even if they don’t complain.
