Now, before anything:
I never used this as I tried today, so, it could be me.
That said:
I have received a photo, which is nigh wholly filled with a face.
I select face recovery, I get a square … but there is nothing I can do with it:
I cannot move it, I cannot resize it, it’s like it is lock-welded in place.
Tried altering the settings for Face Recovery … but that did nothing.
Hi Sammy. When you select Face Recovery, you are asking Photo AI to use it’s face detection technology to look for faces within the image, if Face Recovery finds a face Photo AI will place a box on that face indicating it has found a face, multiple faces multiple boxes, and no you can’t move the box.
Also within Preferences you can ask Face Recovery to include Hair and Neck
Hi Sammy. There could be a number of reasons why Photo AI is only selecting part of the face for example, is your subject’s face turned to one side or is the face partially obscured by something if so, that doesn’t mean Photo AI’s Face Recovery will not work.
Select Face Recovery again, if Photo AI places a grey box around the face you may have to manually select that area by clicking on it then apply
Did you read the information John at Topaz Support sent you about using Recover Faces, if not here it is again
Hi Sammy. This image doesn’t apply as it’s not a Photograph, Topaz Photo AI, Recover Faces Artificial Intelligence was trained on enhancing low-resolution Digital Photographs only.
It is sharp?
To me, it looks very unsharp, sir?
Especially his right side (the side on the left from us).
It’s blacky, and has several “oddities” in it.
His left side (right to us) has “oddities” above the shoulder.
At first glance it might seem sharp, but it is far from, to me.
A comparison:
This to me is sharp:
Would you mind sending in some more information to get a better understanding of the problem you are having with this particular type of image? Please send the following information:
The original image file.
The processed image.
A screenshot or description of the settings panel so I can see what adjustments were turned on.
You can securely submit your image(s) to my Dropbox using the link below.
EDIT:
It would be so darn great, if we could manipulate the selection box, like one can in Gimp or Photoshop.
In case we end up in a situation such as this … .
I merely used this as an example, sir.
A comparison to Mr. spinach’s quality and this one.
I do not use it in any a form, it was linked from google search … .
Hi Sammy. Do as you will however, would you be happy if someone took one of your photographs from the internet and posted in a public place and was asking about editing your image without your permission.
Stock Photography sites are there for a reason to grant paid licences for usage rights and in return pay the contributing photographer royalties.
Besides can’t you ask your client Mr. Spinach if he wouldn’t mind if you post his photograph or use one of your own
Sir, I did not edit that one.
I merely used it as an example.
I DID use the Hulk one, to test upon.
Also, I do not use copyright for things I make, personally. A Simple Fact … by Xogroroth on DeviantArt
Here is an example.
And all my works contain that information, sir.
Check the date of posting, so you know, that i did not just put it there.
I will remove the example, sir.
And my apologies, I meant no harm.
EDIT:
I cannot edit that post anymore.
If a moderator please could remove Captain Picard’s picture?
