The Demosaicing process shifts colors too radiacally, forcing me to export to TIFF and then popping into studio. In my workflow I use the option from LR classic plug in extras. I suppose each application either has a different demosaicing algorithm of Topaz demosaices on top of lightroom. (I suspect the latter),
It would be nice if Topaz supported multiple demosaicing profiles. Any suggestions from the Topaz community?
You’re correct that demosaicing can vary depending on where it’s applied in the workflow, which can lead to noticeable shifts in color or rendering.
As a general recommendation, for the best results with RAW files, we suggest using Topaz Photo first (before making edits in Lightroom Classic). This allows Topaz to apply its own demosaicing and RAW processing to the original data, typically producing more consistent results.
That said, we appreciate your suggestion around multiple demosaicing profiles. That’s a great idea, and we’ll share it with the team for consideration.
Our team also would love to hear from others here. If anyone has found workflows or settings that help maintain color consistency between Lightroom and Topaz, feel free to share.
The more examples and approaches we can gather, the better we can understand and improve this experience.
I am a concert photographer and have extreme lighting that most likely makes this issue more apparent as the color shift is noticeable when it occurs. Minor in the long run (sometime I even like the result
Thank you for hearing it out!
