The three-dot menu in the upper right corner of individual flyouts allow the flyout to be undocked and to float above the image display area. This is welcome.
However, once a flyout is undocked, it and all other flyouts should remain undocked when a new image is selected and when the application is restarted. It should not revert back to the default. This is the behavior in every application I’ve used that supports docking and undocking windows or panels.
