Denoise Fails with Error

In Topaz Video, attempting to use Denoise in a 5s preview on a .MOV source failed twice in a row. I’m cleaning up a low quality progressive source using Proteus Natural with a 2x upscale and trying to see what denoise will do for me. No other processing features are active. It finishes processing just fine w/o Denoise activated. I have the log if needed. I’m doing all processing locally on my Windows 11 PC.

If you can share the logs here or send them to us at help@topazlabs.com, we can take a look at what is going on here.

It sounds like when enabling the Denoise feature, it is overwhelming the system with two models being applied, and the models are not playing well together.

What’s happening with this? Is there a fix?

The team is still looking into issues like this with the Denoise feature when it’s being applied with another model. Are you able to run the Denoise tool by itself on your file?

Denoise runs fine concurrently with the Proteus model (not Proteus Natural).

Understood, the way that the Denoise feature is running with Nyx High-Fidelity is currently not able to run at the same time as Proteus Natural. The team will look into if this can be enabled in the future.
