I you crop any image and then export it, the Autopilot resize setting is ignored for all subsequent images processed. This also causes a resize saved as a preset to be ignored. This is very troubling because, if I crop any image, process it and then go on to do other images, using a preset I use for most of my images, they will all be totally different sizes than what I need and, if I have deleted the source image, I am stuck without the original. This bug is NOT HARD TO REPRODUCE but has yet to be fixed despite my reporting it before. It is 100% reproducible.
Steps to reproduce issue:
- Preferences > Autopilot > Upscale and resize > Set output size width to 2400 (any size will do) > Apply
- Open an image in Photo AI
- Upscale > Verify that the Autopilot setting is showing: Dimensions
W 2400 PX H “whatever” PX - Export image >Verify the size is correct and the width is 2400px > It is
RESULT: The output image size is correct.
To reproduce the bug:
5. Open the same image (any image will do) > Crop > crop any way you like > Apply
6. Upscale > Verify that the width is correct (it show 2400px under Dimensions) > Save
7. Reopen the original image > Upscale > Verify the width is correct in the Upscale info > It shows Dimensions W 2400 PX H 3506 PX
8. Click on Export image and check the ouput in the Queue: 832×1216 → 3637×5316 which is totally different from the info shown in Step 7 and different from the autopilot setting and will also be different if the size is saved as a Preset.
9. Save the image > The image dimensions are indeed what the Queue said (3637 × 5316) but not what the upscale should have been
10. Process more images using the Autopilot setting and they will all be wrong until Photo AI is closed and reopened at which point Upscale will reflect Autopilot setting or Preset. 100% reproducible.
