Crop Produces Incorrect Dimensions

Gigapixel 7.2.1
MacBook Pro M2 Max - 64GB Memory
MacOS Sonoma 14.5 (23F79)

Issue:
An imported image was set to be cropped using the “1x1” aspect ratio setting, but the exported image was not square.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Imported a JPG photo that was 1367 x 2048 px
  2. Clicked Crop tool and selected 1 x 1 aspect ratio, then Apply
  3. Other settings for context
    a) Mode : Scale
    b) Output : 2x
    c) Model : Standard
    d) Sharpen : 30
    e) Denoise and Fix compression : 1
    f) Face recovery and Gamma Correction : Off

Expected behavior:
Export should yield an image that is 2734 x 2734 px

Actual behavior:
The operation summary below the image indicates “Original size: 1367 x 1367 px; Scale: 2.00x; Output Size: 2734 x 2734 px,”

but the exported image is actually 2734 x 2746 px.

Very, very interseting. Thanks for bringing this to me.

Is there any chance you can send the image to my personal DropBox account so I can test this locally to better understand the cause of the conflict?

@justin.topazlabs The source image has been uploaded per your request.

Thanks.

Hello!

Gigapixel released version 7.3.0 and I’ve tested the image you shared with Justin and was not able to reproduce the incorrect dimensions.

I think this version should correct this crop error.

If it does not, please submit another ticket with our Support team and we can communicate with you more directly to help troubleshoot your conflict.
