Constantly crashes with “error”. This file has been processed before without issue but suddenly since the last update it refuses to complete. this is the third time it’s error-ed out. absolutely insane that there isnt better error-handling and better reasons given. upload the logs to support is not helpful in the least. i need solutions now. logsForSupport.zip (1011.9 KB)
In the logs it looks like your system is set to default to Auto for the AI Processor selection and it is not choosing to use your GPU for the processing task. This is causing an error as running two models on the 8k clip is crashing out due to not enough VRAM.
Open the Preferences Panel and change the following settings.
File>Preferences>Processing
Ensure that your GPU is selected for the AI Processor - RTX 4070
Set the max memory to 80%
Set max processes to 1
Save the settings and close the panel.
Re-run your clip through the process that you were trying.
Thanks for the fast reply, I tried those settings as well prior to this but with 90% memory, it crashed as well. currently the job is running with a different model that will be acceptable for this project, and I had to downgrade to the previous version as well. i’ll try reducing the memory max if this one fails too.
this app realllly needs a more graceful error and recovery process. this should have taken 3 hours but instead i’ve been fighting with this for 2 days.
You can also try breaking apart the models and running each in a single pass instead of at the same time. This will reduce the memory resources needed to complete the process and should resolve the crashing you are seeing.
