As soon as the preview is generated for the ‘Recover’ or ‘Redefine’ generative render models, the application crashes. This happens every time, so it is reproducible.
Just updated to Gigapixel v8.0.2 on a Mac Studio M1 Max running Sequoia 15.1. It now quits or crashes on loading any image. Have tried rebooting Mac, restarting Gigapixel, tried various .JPG and .PNG images and even tried reinstalling but no joy. It quits every time. I see this is also happening to PC users. Any fix on the way? Any workaround meanwhile?
BTW I was unable to post the above as a new topic, getting only an error message with the note that I was ‘not permitted to view the requested resource’ – so reporting that as an error, as well.
For what it is worth, I have been able to get it to stop crashing on my Mac by deleting the lastSessionFiles.txt from : Library/Application Support/Topaz Labs LLC/Topaz Gigapixel AI/Logs
Didn"t work for me. I used the app for 3 or 4 images without problem and now I’ve a crash for every export. (Macbook Pro 2023, M2 Pro, Sequoia)
Similar issue. Crashes on any attempt to use redefine model…seems okay on recover. Mac M2Pro with 16GB Ram and running OS 15.1. Deleted all the files suggested and same result. I feel like before it happened the first time there was a quick message out of “out of memory” but have not seen that since.
