Trying to edit NEF files taken with a Nikon Coolpix 5700 (pre-2005) and they appear as B&W/lined/Corrupted in the main preview window (though, in the Open Images ‘film-strip’ bar at the bottom of the app, they look normal.
Opening a NEF from 2005 (taken with a Nikon Coolpix 8800) in the same session, there are no problems with these files.
Steps to reproduce issue:
Open a Coolpix 5700 NEF file in Topaz Photo AI v2.0.1 (or, edit it within Lightroom with the Topaz plugin)
The preview/edit image of the file, in Topaz Photo AI v2.0.1 shows a grainy, B&W (some color) vertically striped image. Even after Autopilot runs, the image looks different, but still similarly ‘corrupt’ looking
In the OPEN IMAGES section, the smaller photo/image looks normal with no issue.
Topaz Photo AI [v2.0.1] on [Windows 11 Pro]
I know it’s an older camera/image format, but is it supported? I didn’t find any other mention of the Coolpix 5700 in the forum search.
Thanks for reaching out. Please send the original image file so I can try to reproduce this.

I uploaded 3 different files from the Nikon 5700 (from 2002-2004).
DSCN0428.TIF (2002) - works fine in Topaz Photo AI v2.0.1 (Open Image is fine)
DSCN0647.NEF (2004) - just shows a black screen (Open Image is fine)
DSCN0657.NEF (2004) - Shows a B&W/w_color/lined (corrupt) image (Open Image is fine)
