[Cloud Render] Cases

How can I permanently disable Cloud render?

I am using Topaz, since it runs locally on my machine. I am not allowed to upload my clients photos into the cloud. Now, there is this new cloud render button right next to the normal export button.
With a simple miss-click, I will violate my contracts.
Is there a way to disable this function? I understand that many people can benefit from it, but one of the reasons I chose this product was that it runs purly locally.

that button is for Rendering out on TOPAZ servers so the photo you work on to speed up time… If it stays on the cloud then yes that is a problem…

Yes, that is what I understood.
It would be great if there was an option in the preferences menu, to disable cloud rendering and remove the button, so it isn’t as easy to make a mistake.

You could always just block internet access to Gigapixel

You could always just block internet access to Gigapixel

Isn’t internet access required for activation?

Tried to log out in the app to avoid this cloud hovering everywhere but this deactivated the application.

Ok, it got rid of the cloud too  but the app is in trial mode.

Will play with Windows Firewall or just downgrade to 7.x.

I second this request. Seems like a cash grab anyway. Let me render locally and worry about the time it takes to do so myself! I’ll never go back to adobe products after they went subscription based and it feels like this software is heading that way.

No, if you want you can activate your software and then use it offline. Don’t log out.

Sadly, this also blocks any checks of updated versions and model downloads.

Hi there,

I have two issues that I would like to address.
I am running Gigapixel 8 on my Macbook Pro with M1 processor and as soon I start to render on my machine in the “Redefine” mode, my machine starts to act really weird, and tends to freeze.

The second thing, and this came up today, when I used Gigapixel for the 3rd time to use the Redefine and wanted to use Cloud Rendering, it is just not avaible.
There seems to be no way to use it right now. My credits are shown on top of the screen but the button on the bottom right only says “Export”, and that’s it.

Warm regards,
Sebastian

Yes, our Redefine model is quite resource intensive and we are currently working on a patch to make processing more efficient.

As for your cloud credit issue, our export with cloud option should be made available after selecting the Redefine model and adjusting the creativity slider.

Would you mind sharing a screenshot of your cloud render option not being made available?

How to take a Screenshot on Mac

Hello
It seems that there is a discrepancy between cloud render at the bottom of the screen and what is display in the queue

br

My last image I tried to render cost 3 credits but it never was processed in que. I waited for hour and half and was forced to cancel and close out of Gigapixel and restart. Can you check your end and restore the 3 credits?

At what point do you think Photo AI 3 will get Recover and ReDefine ability? I really like how its working so far in Gigapixel. I am testing various graphic images. This has been a game changer for me. At some point an advanced background remover for images would be excellent to do everything from one program.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi,

I’ve run into an issue with the cloud rendering feature on a few occasions. I’ve been charged 6-12 credits, but the rendering doesn’t complete successfully. It’s not happening every time, but when it does, it’s a bit disappointing to see the credits deducted without the expected result.

I completely understand that things can go wrong sometimes, but I was hoping there might be some insight into what could be causing this. Any guidance or suggestions on how to resolve this would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Upload your log files here so they can look at it…Has happened to me and I uploaded my log files

I clicked on the Cloud Queue button, and it showed the files that had been processed in the Cloud, and when I clicked on the download button, it crashed. I opened it back up again and the pictures I had been working on were no where to be found. It was a blank window, ready for me to drop files in. Not only that, but there was no way to access my cloud processed files to retrieve them. Also, when I’m processing in the main local queue, there is no way to close the window and open the cloud queue. My cloud processed files are held hostage until the local queue finishes. Also, I clicked on the button to add my picture to be processed in the cloud queue, and there was no visual cue that it had accepted my selection. I figured out how to open the cloud queue, and saw three additional copies of my file to be processed in there, and when I deleted the extra copies, it did not add the credits for them back to my available credits. Lots to be worked out on the user interface.

what was the outcome? the thing has eaten 50 credits off me today…

never got a reply back on that issue but got some extra credits then I just bought 25$ more credits…

Blocking GP with the firewall is not working. The software is not able to authenticate the login, if it is blocked. Next to the problems regarding updates…

So, the offered solution does not work.

No, if have tried it several times now. I am always logged out after a restart and I can not even reactivate, as long as it is blocked.

I’ve been to youtube and read that you have to purchase tokens for cloud rendering. Surely I can render an image locally on my computer. The previous gigapixel did it fine. Do I have to downgrade the software to complete a simple 2x scale? It doesn’t give me the option to Export, as it hasn’t rendered the image.
