I have purchased a large amount of credits, but don’t want the monthy subscription so I cancelled. It says my credits will expire on December 14th. But, I bought them, why would they expire? What am I not understanding.
Here’s a quote from the current sale page on the main site, where you can purchase credit packs:
Like the apps themselves, Cloud Credits are yours forever. You can use any purchased Cloud Credits past upgrade expiration. (You’ll just need to be on a version of the app that supports cloud render.)
But this only applies to bought credit packs not a credit subscription. From the docs page:
If you cancel your subscription, any unused credits will expire at the next renewal date.If you only purchase credit packs and don’t have a subscription, the credits won’t expire and there is no max limit.
The point being if you want cheaper credits than what you get from the packs you have to maintain a credit subscription. Otherwise everyone could just game the subscription system if subscription credits never expired.
Hi thanks for the note. I had 240 credits left of 400 I bought, and they all disappeared exactly one month from purchasing. Not sure why?
