In the Preference, Directories tab, please have a Start up folder rather than defaulting to the Documents folder. Some of us do have extra drives.

P.S. Oh and I did try to modify the Windows Desktop shortcut… but to no avail.
If you want the app to live on another drive, you need to install it there. The folders in the directories tab can be changed.
