I have the latest version of Topaz Video just downloaded. I haven’t had this problem before. I shot a video, 30 fps, with my phone. When I try to change it to 60fps, it gets rendered to 15 fps when I clearly selected the 60 fps. What am I missing? Earlier versions didn’t do this.
Sounds like some metadata on the file is causing the app and model to process the file incorrectly. This has been seen with videos shot on phones as most of the time they record in a variable frame rate.
Can you try converting your input using Handbrake and then try importing the converted version back into the app for processing?
Here are the steps to convert it in the handbrake app:
-
Drag and drop your video to import it
-
I recommend going to the “dimensions” tab and under “resolution limit” > none
-
I also recommend going to the “video” tab and under “framerate (FPS)” > Same as source
-
Then click “start”
This will ensure that it retains the original resolution and frame rate with the converted file.
