I uploaded a photo in both CR2 and DNG format. Please, don’t judge this photo by its quality, composition etc, I just took this shot from out of my room for your test purposes only. This picture was taken with my Canon EOS 2000D camera, which is not being recognized by Topaz Photo AI when I try to process it with Photo AI>
I was able to load the CR2 file you sent into Photo AI, would you mind please taking a screen recording of this behavior so I can see exactly what is happening on your machine with your workflow?
My problem is that before I send my photo into Photo AI I have to convert it from CR2 to DNG. I am using a very old version of Lightroom, that cannot work with my CR2 files. I never even tried to send a CR2 directly into Photo AI as I am using the Lightroom option to do so with Plugin-in Extras/Process with Photo AI.
Here’s my workflow. After I imported pictures from my camera into a folder, I have to use Adobe DNG converter to make processing with Lightroom possible. I then fire up Lightroom, import the pictures and after that I open one picture, send it to Photo AI as described above, after processing I have Phot AI exporting it back into Lightroom and from there I do my postprocessing.
In Photo AI, after having send the picture into Photo AI, only the picture’s filename is displayed together with “RAW”, however, no camera type is being shown.
Does this make it clearer for you what I mean and do you still want me to make a screenrecording? If so, I can do so this weekend, OK?
I will follow along with the workflow you have stated here to see if I’m able to replicate this problem on my machine. In the meantime, if you are able to create a screen recording, it will be helpful to ensure we are not missing anything during this troubleshooting process.
I dropped the recorded video in your Dropbox. You will note that in Topaz there is no make/model of my camera in the red circle in the upper left corner of the Topaz screen. I hope that I made my issue (which is not a serious issue at all) clearer with this video.
