The beta does currently take a seat from the release version. You can simply reclaim the seat on the release version afterwards.
This is because the login information for alpha, beta, and release version are separate as they are different applications.
Is this affecting your work signficantly?
I need to have two seats separate machines needs to be counted bas beta not as Retail.If I Reclaim the seat it inter feats with me beta testing counts as a bug. It should not Take away from the retail.
There a for a coaster in his account to deactivate a specific machine or platform no longer being used ?
or Away the person can find out what seat is not being used?
I have Windows and Mac .
Beta and Alpha on different machine should not take up retail seat other machine.
some times I have to restart my Mac to get the program to activate.
I will get a new PC soon and wonder too how to switch the activation from my old PC to the new one. Will I just be asked for claiming a seat on the new one? Can I manually remove a seat from an older machine?
It has two seats software comes with one machine will probably claim an unused seat. If only one is used otherwise you will claim a seat. As far beta it may take up a retail one.
If it is software it should not count as as seat on same software.But I have gotten activation errors had to restart machine to fix.
both seats are currently claimed, one by my amd laptop and the other one by my intel pc which will be replaced end of june, that s why i ask. 
I am sure not least used maybe. Mine said claim seat.
