in fact 6.XX is a POS (very subjective IMHO), which version do you prefer?
The CLI version.
Yeah, that’s kind of a wise-crack troll answer, but it does avoid most of the issues users complain about.

Or if not CLI, I’m happy with V5.3.6, the latest version before mplayer introduced and problems startet, without the new UI no one likes.
