Benson Bridge, Multnomah Falls

In my effort to sketch and paint a few of the beautiful PNW bridges, how could I not include the Benson Bridge at Multnomah Falls. Oregon.com mentions that “the bridge spans the falls at the first tier’s misty base. Standing on the bridge you have a perfect view of the top tier’s full 542-foot height and a knee-wobbling vantage point over the second tier’s 69-foot drop!”

I’m now thinking I will do this again, but in a portrait orientation to highlight the height of both the falls and the bridge. But then, this might be more about the falls than the bridge. Food for thought.

I think I’d rather see this image in a more photographic form. After all, you don’t get much detail in the way you’ve posted it. I’d like to see it reposted. I am a collector of bridge images, and I have some of the Verranzano Bridge in New York before the cables were added.

You mean like this?
