Batch Processing locally removed! Showstopper

Upgraded my V5 to V6. Batch processing has been disabled clearly on purpose. I used to select all my files as frequently process hundreds of small short videos. I would controlA, apply a 2X change, then “export as”. Now that option is grayed out and a message “batch processing cannot be done with local files”. “Quick Export” fills the queue but all files return error.

The program is basically useless now as doing this one at a time per file is cost prohibitive.

Batch processing is still an option in the app, you will do this by selecting all of your videos and then using the Quick Export to send them to the Export Queue.

If you are getting errors on these processes, please pull the logs and send to the support team so we can work out what is going on.

Here is a video to help with the steps of how to collect the logs.

It’s not an option as you can’t send them to another location. Why would you break the most useful function of the program?

If your talking about where files are exported to, the quick export sends files to the export folder set in the preferences, assuming it has been set.

You will need to use quick export instead of the Export As option as this changed back in v5.3.3 with some other backend adjustments.

The Quick Export will send the files back to the original source location. If you want them in another folder location you can move them after exporting or move the original source video to that folder location and then import into the app for processing.

It’s a bug or a questionable feature. If you set a custom export folder in preferences, then upgrade, then quick export, all jobs fail if the folder in preferences no longer exists. Quick export only goes to source folder if that preference is blank.

So you have to remember to go to preferences each time you want to output to a different folder. Doable but hardly good design.
