Logs are disabled. Why would you need a log to show you what I explained in my post? Have you tried to reproduce the issue with the steps I outlined? Or is this “share the logs” response just a scripted reply? Kind of like Microsoft, “run sfc /scannow, then reboot” for everything that is posted on their forums.
Logs are ideal as they can help understand what the app is doing and if something is not performing as designed. I have tested what you described and I did get the same behavior, and I am sharing my findings with the team for further investigation. Having more logs from different systems can help them see a pattern as to what is causing the behavior.
The issue is NOT specific to my setup! I already tested this on three different machines. Did you bother testing it? Of course you didn’t, it’s no wonder that issues like this exist with people like YOU doing the Beta Testing! SMH
Yes I’m well aware of what the purpose of Logs are for. I’ve been building and programming computers since clear back in the MS-DOS days and I’ve read thru more log files than I care to remember. I know you guys are used to getting the dumbest people posting the dumbest questions on here, but with the time it took you to make your “can you post logs” reply, you could have just tested what I posted and would have found that posting logs wasn’t necessary. Knowing how simple of an issue this was to reproduce, I knew there was no way you even bothered testing what I posted, hence the reason for my “arrogant” response, as menditsa put it.
The way I look at it is, if I’m reporting a bug/issue about a companies software, I expect a little courtesy and appreciation for taking the time to report these issues so that said company can continue making money selling their paid software that I’m trying to help improve. I’m well aware that many sheeple are happy to work for free doing Beta Testing these days, I’m not one of them. Seems like it’s become so expected these days, that companies talk to users like they’re paid employees rather than showing any kind of appreciation towards the user. It’s no wonder we have idiots at self-checkout doing the cashiers job at the stores these days, FOR FREE! SMH
In any case, thank you for confirming that you’ve successfully reproduced the issue. Just for the record, I don’t think either of your replies were discourteous, just maybe next time consider testing first before asking a user to do extra work. As we can see from this situation, my sending the logs would have been a complete waste of time and had I just said screw it and didn’t bother replying any further, perhaps this issue would have went unresolved. Especially with someone like menditsa doing the Beta Testing!
An internal support ticket has been sent to the dev and QA team to look into this matter and I will update once I have more feedback from them.
In the meantime several responses were removed from this post as they are not helpful and are bordering on breaking community rules. No response or reply is needed from anyone beyond that and we will stick to the issue only.
