I input a 1280 x 720 video, I crop it top and bottom, I select Iris, I tell it to ‘lock aspect’ and set a custom resolution to prioritise width to 1920, when I preview or encode, despite ‘LOCK ASPECT’ it stretches the video to 1080x1920.
Why are the simplest things in this program so hard to achieve reliably and consistently.
Every new release, a whole host of bugs, release after release unusable.
Please thoroughly test you program before release.
Which model are you using to process the video, and how much are you cropping the file? In some cases, depending on the upscale size chosen, the model will need to adjust to prevent stretching or squeezing the video.
We will need more information here to have the team look into this situation, as there are a lot of variables at play. Can you grab the logs and send in to the support team at help@topazlabs.com?
To gather logs, please select Help > Logging > Get Logs for Support and attach the zip file to your reply.
Here is a video to help with the steps of how to collect the logs.
I think i clearly said IRIS in my original comment, it would be the latest IRIS otherwise I would have said, so IRIS is the model i use, next
Apologies for missing that part as I was trying to work through the details of your post. I will still need the logs to review further what is going on here, though. If you can send those in via the email or post here, I can take a look and try and run some tests to replicate the situation with a similar file to have the devs look into this.
