This is a different issue from the others similar to this one. Following the crash, the app quits every single time and cannot process any images at all. It just quits. I assume there is some cache that needs purging, or possibly the app itself became corrupted?
Often, this can be related to hardware complications causing the crash. Would you mind sharing your full system profile with me privately so I may investigate further?

So… after clearing the saved state (no effect) I tried restarting my computer. THAT worked. So it was no fault of your software. It was an OS issue following a crash. And the crash was likely related to my doing batch upscaling with the app but it had been working then, and following a proper restart it’s working again.
