App Hangs on Exit

Besides Topaz Video not running Starlight, every time I use it for any other model and I try to close it by pushing X on the top right, it stops responding and I have to close it with Task Manager.

Same here too, Video AI 7 works fine but Video AI studio hangs on close down with X (top right) or ‘Exit’ (left side menu).

I have a similar issue. Close button crashes, but using File/Exit closes cleanly.

I encounter a hanging freeze when I exit Topaz Video v1.0.2, and I have to use Task Manager to stop the process. I don’t know if there is any crash dump or error output because it doesn’t technically crash, it just freezes. I thought it might be a bad install, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the program, but the issue started up again immediately. It’s not 100% repro, as sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn’t.

I’m using an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT.

I also have it, same CPU, but using an Nvidia 4070 GPU

This was patched and resolved in version 1.0.3. If anyone is still experiencing this issue in a different release of the app, please email the support team directly at help@topazlabs.com.

Still happening here with 1.0.4. Log has been sent.

Then the patch did not work. Same here, still happens with 1.0.4, i have to manual kill the Topaz video task.

When I run conversions, I will remove them from Topaz using the “remove all inputs”. Then when I try to close Topaz Video AI, the program hangs. To get it to close, I have to click on the icon in the task bar and select “Close window”, then I get the Windows message “program not responding etc.”

If I haven’t run any conversions, it closes fine.

I can confirm the same, patch has not fixed this issue. I still need to use task manager as well to close it.
