After all autopilot filters are applied I clicked add Remove. This used to “think” for a while (“locking edits”) and now the app exists.

Please follow the instructions below to perform a clean install to troubleshoot better why you had this problem with Topaz Photo AI:
- Be sure you have fully closed any plugins, such as Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, etc.
- Clear any previous plist files on your computer for Topaz Photo AI | Topaz Photo AI | plist Files Mac
- Disable any antivirus, firewall, VPN, or proxy software that might be active on your computer. These tools sometimes interfere with the installer’s ability to download the model files.
- Ensure that the Topaz Photo AI installer has all the proper settings in your system by going to your Mac System Settings > Privacy & Security tab and scrolling down to the security section. You will want to make sure you have ‘App Store and identified developers’ selected | MacOS | Example of Proper System Preferences
- Rerun the installer. You can download a new installer from your account’s download page | Topaz Labs | My Account | Download Page

I removed app from /Applications, then removed com.topaz* from ~/Library/Preferences/, after that I downloaded installer and installed it - it did not report any problems.
Now it crashes on opening a photo instead on adding Remove filter.
I don’t have VPNs, proxies, firewalls.
Security settings would disallow installation so I have proper value set there.
The only thing I changed on my Mac was installation of Wacom tablet drivers. I don’t know how that could impact Topaz Photo AI. It crashes while tablet is disconnected.

Removing com.topaz* from ~/Library/Caches/ helped. Application is starting correctly and Remove filter does not crash it.
Why wasn’t info about crash on caches included in log file?

I’m glad that removing the cache files helped resolved this problem. I am not personally sure why this is not included in the log files; however, I have reached out to some on the development team to learn more about this issue.
