I was wondering if there were any plans to update any of the NYX models in the near future (1 - 2 months or so.)
I’m about to de-noise a lot of video files for a big project, and if there’s a NYX update right around the corner, I’d rather wait than have to essentially redo the de-noising twice.

Nyx was most recently updated in v5.0.0 and while the research team is working on training more iterations of released models and looking at new ones there is not an official set scheduled at this time that is available to share.
To my opinion and out of my tries Nyx is by far the most advanced and accurate model.
All you have to do is fine tune it and use double Nyx with x4 intermediate. It does output clearly godly result.
If your source is 4K, be patient or have kick ass hardware.
Be aware of identifying noise and grain, because it will give very different result.
for me personally, I would wait for the next Nyx release. I feel even though Nyx does a very good job with today’s models, I feel it soften the picture and remove details.

Push sharpness and deblur and you’ll got a prefect output
it’s not the blur that I am concerned about , it the details that get lost
